Pandemia, Covid-19, Capelania Hospitalar, Espiritualidade, Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil.
A Pandemia da Covid-19 levou muitas pessoas a desenvolverem quadros graves de infecção respiratória. Essas precisaram de internação hospitalar em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva (UTI), permanecendo vários dias internadas em isolamento, sem poderem usufruir da companhia de um familiar. A capelania hospitalar em muitas instituições hospitalares viabilizou que pacientes com Covid-19 recebessem acompanhamento espiritual e contribuíram para fomentar um tratamento mais humanizado. A presente pesquisa objetivou evidenciar a atuação da capelania hospitalar da Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil no cuidado a pacientes de Covid-19. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa de natureza aplicada com abordagem qualitativa do problema de pesquisa. Entrevistaram-se pessoas que tiveram Covid-19 e precisaram de internação, bem como capelães hospitalares da Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil que atuaram no acompanhamento de pacientes com Covid-19. A pesquisa buscou assim compreender a atuação da capelania hospitalar no contexto da pandemia. O presente trabalho evidenciou a importância da espiritualidade no enfrentamento da Covid-19 e o papel fundamental da capelania hospitalar da Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil no acompanhamento aos profissionais de saúde, aos pacientes com Covid-19 e aos seus familiares. The Covid-19 Pandemic has led many people to develop serious respiratory infections. These people needed hospitalization in Intensive Care Units (ICU), staying several days in isolation, without being able to have the company of a family member. The hospital chaplaincy in many hospital institutions made it possible for patients with Covid-19 to receive spiritual guidance and contributed to fostering a more humane treatment. The present research aimed to highlight the performance of the hospital chaplaincy of the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil in the care of Covid-19 patients. Therefore, an applied research was carried out with a qualitative approach to the research problem. People who had Covid-19 and needed hospitalization were interviewed, as well as hospital chaplains from the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil who worked in the follow-up of patients with Covid-19. The research thus sought to understand the performance of hospital chaplaincy in the context of the pandemic. This work highlighted the importance of spirituality in coping with Covid-19 and the fundamental role of the hospital chaplaincy of the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil in monitoring health professionals, patients with Covid-19 and their families.
